A new partnership between Wunderman Thompson Commerce & Technology Netherlands and Passcreator by Fobi will help brands enhance customer communications and boost loyalty.

Passcreator is a scalable SaaS digital wallet solution that can be used to distribute membership and loyalty cards, promotions, and tickets directly to customers’ mobile phones. “Passcreator offers a unique way to communicate with consumers via their mobile, without the cost of app development,” explains Paul de Groot, Solutions Director CXM at Wunderman Thompson. “Thanks to our partnership with Passcreator, we can now help brands leverage digital wallet technology to better engage customers and build stronger relationships with them.”

Mobile wallets are growing in popularity as app downloads decline – app downloads have fallen 38% in the last six years according to a survey by Fobi1, and around two-thirds of customers do not have a brand’s mobile app downloaded1. Mobile wallets are rapidly filling this space, with 2.3 billion wallet passes downloaded so far, and this number projected to increase to more than four billion by 20241. The Fobi research also reports that 93% of wallet passes are never deleted, compared to 39% of apps1.

With Wunderman Thompson and digital wallet passes built on Passcreator, brands can contact customers anytime, anywhere with push notifications and real-time content, and store dynamic membership information all with a single solution. These capabilities help improve the customer experience, boost acquisition, and increase retention rates as a nimble and agile complement to a brands’ existing mobile app. This approach empowers customers to be able to choose the communication channel they prefer when communicating with a brand.

    With Passcreator, brands can:

    • Launch promotions: Schedule messaging, update promotions in real time, and validate and redeem online or instore using built-in barcodes, QR codes or NFC tap.
    • Distribute tickets: Seamlessly support ticketing and check-in with automatic

location and time-based notifications, links and contact information all in one place, and passes automatically pulled to the front of mobile phone lock screens.

    • Manage memberships: Digital membership cards built with Passcreator can be used online or instore, are protected by the phone’s built in security, and eliminate the need for a physical card that can be lost.

Wunderman Thompson is about delivering transformative and future proofed solutions to our customers, and our experts help brands build dynamic wallet passes in Passcreator without the need for software development. As a white-label solution, brands can change templates, add links, use imagery, and translate content in to up to 40 languages. We can also help collate and analyse information to gain greater customer insights. Passcreator is GDPR-compliant and secure by design. It features open API documentation for simple integration, and is both an Apple VAS Reseller and a Google Pay Partner.

Rob Anson, CEO of Fobi stated, “Wunderman Thompson is a key Channel Partner for us as they are one of the largest marketing agencies in the world and as a result of our joint Salesforce integration it now opens up the doors to a large pool of tier 1 customers.
